The Rockland Dinner of Hope is the result of a wonderful collaboration between Ula Robertson of At Your Service NY Catering, and myself. I met Ula at a Rockland Business Association Meeting about three years ago. She was catering the event, and one bite of her delectable appetizers told me that she has great skill that can please even the most discriminating taste buds.
Recently at a networking event for the BST Directory, Ula and I talked about the idea of trying to help people that are less fortunate in Rockland County. There are simply too many people whose voices are not heard in this area; yet they are the ones who need the most from us. Food, shelter and clothing are just the beginning, as it is in our collective interest to offer kindness and understanding as well.
We feel that this event, in coordination with our generous sponsors such as People to People Inc. and RBWN, is just the first step in helping to create more service to those in need. We ask you to open your hearts to this good cause, and join us for a great evening that will be both enjoyable, and greatly helpful to many people that are struggling in Rockland County.
